It features some fun magical middle-grade, beautiful romances, some classics and fantasy novels, of course!
I also want to apologise for all the background noise😭 I live in an area that’s extremely close to two primary schools, and so there’s always a lot of vehicle and people noise during the afternoon🥺

Persuasion is one of my favorite Jane Austen book, it's very romantic and I also love the 2007 film adaption !
Btw I heard Jane Austen met the secret true love of her life at one of the most important location in the book and then wrote the book, that what her sister told her nieces anyway, it makes it even more special to me

I love a good cup of tea! Mine is peppermint, marshmallow root, calendula, chamomile, meadowsweet, and plantain 🌿

I just happen to be drinking tea, a matcha turmeric mix. I am also in Foxenwood, I guess it’s nice to keep up with what children and young people are reading. My April TBR includes Shirley, finishing Jonathan Strange and Mr. norrell and Middlemarch. Enjoy meeting Mr Wentworth. ❤️

I have Hakumei & Mikochi on my tbr as well, it looks so cute! One of my favorite spring books is The Secret Garden on 81st st, it’s a modern retelling and it’s so wholesome 😊 I look forward to your thoughts on these after you read them!

Thankyou Ahya for so many good recommendations. Presently I am drinking Assam Tea w/ milk. I prefer black teas w/ milk. I do like Lemongrass and Hibiscus herbals. I read the original Secret Garden about 3 wks. ago. EXCELLENT! The books by Adrienne Young, Shion Miura, and Rachel Lucas will be the first ones I read, from the ones I wrote down! ( almost all!). A book similar to Baker's Magic is A Wizards Guide to Defensive Baking. I enjoyed reading it 😊, although I never got the opportunity to finish it.
oh yes!! I've actually tried to read A Wizard's Guide to Defensive Baking several times because I really wanted to love it, but I dnf-ed it each time which breaks my heart! On paper, it sounds like exactly the kind of book that I'd love so I'm not sure where it went wrong, but I did really enjoy Nettle & Bone, and Swordheart by T Kingfisher is one of my favourites fantasy&romance book too🥰
The Flower Farm sounds lovely! I put it on my list :)
I'm also looking forward to The Spell Shop, because the premise sounds really good!
I'm currently doing my annual re-read of the manga series called Flying Witch and it's just so cozy and full of magic, i feel like you would like it as well

Georgette Heyer is better than Jane Austen. My favourite Heyer books are April Lady, The Convenient Marriage, Friday's Child, The Foundling and The Corinthian.

I am the biggest LOTR nerd and reread the trilogy every year... and I highly dislike the Hobbit 😅 I couldn't tell you why but it's grueling to me to read and I can never get into it. I've been halfway through for 2 years now. That is to say: if you end up disliking the Hobbit again, don't write off the trilogy!
OH I love this!! thank you so much for sharing your experience because it gives me so much reassurance that I wasn't the only one struggling to get through The Hobbit the first time I tried reading it🥺 I'm excited to give it another shot this year, but if it doesn't go well I'll keep your comment in mind and will try the trilogy anyways!
